My Approach
A relationship-based, whole-child approach
No two children, families, educators or services are the same. I don't believe in one-size-fits-all strategies. My role is to understand what is happening, consider the child and the wider environment, and work alongside you to identify practical, sustainable next steps.
Relationship first
Connection, safety and trust sit at the centre of meaningful change. Whether I am supporting a family, an educator or a service, relationships are never an afterthought - they are the foundation.
Developmentally informed
Expectations and strategies should make sense for the child's age, stage, temperament and individual needs. I consider development, environment, routines, relationships and the wider context rather than looking at one behaviour or challenge in isolation.
Practical and realistic
Support needs to work in real homes, real classrooms and real services - not only on paper. I focus on clear, achievable strategies that can be adapted to the people and environment involved.
Collaborative
I work alongside families and professionals rather than prescribing a single 'right' way. I want you to understand the thinking behind recommendations, feel confident asking questions and leave with strategies that make sense for you.
Evidence-informed, not rigid
My work draws on child development, attachment and relationship-based practice, current evidence and extensive experience working with children and families. Where specialist medical, clinical, legal or discipline-specific advice is required, I will always encourage the appropriate professional support.
For sleep-specific support, safe sleep guidance and each child's health, development, feeding, environment and family context are considered as part of the wider picture.
